Greenstein & Milbauer, LLP — NYC, Long Island, Westchester County
Thousands of construction workers are seriously injured or killed each year by falls from elevated heights, by falling objects at the work site, by ladders that have been left unsecured and by scaffolding failures. In New York, these are not ordinary accidents.

At Greenstein & Milbauer, our attorneys represent people who have been injured on the job site in a falling accident, and family members who have lost loved ones in similar building construction, repair or maintenance accidents. We also represent illegal and undocumented aliens who have been injured under similar circumstances.
New York's Scaffold Law
New York's Scaffold Law gives workers special legal rights to sue the building owner, its agents and contractors if they were injured in a ladder or scaffold accident or hit by objects falling from an elevated worksite or hoist. By law, building owners and their agents and contractors must supply and operate safety equipment to prevent workers from suffering injuries caused by falls from elevated workplaces. Failure to do so results in strict liability — even if the worker's own fault contributes to the accident.
Unlike a workers' compensation claim, someone injured in a scaffold or ladder accident can recover for full wages, benefits, medical expenses, and pain and suffering. The damages recovered are often very substantial. However, you will have to repay a portion of the workers' compensation benefits you receive if we are successful in securing full recovery for you under the Scaffold Law.
