The Black History Month Invitational Tournament

Greenstein & Milbauer LLP in conjunction with "Empowerment Through Recreation" were the event sponsors of The Black History Month Invitational Tournament. The event was held February 19-22, 2008 at the Kennedy Center in Harlem, New York. The tournament sought to teach young people the value of meaningful competition and sportsmanship. In doing so the Tournament hoped to attract "Student Sponsor Partners" in order to increase high school graduation rates of New York City's at risk youth. This is accomplished by offering them the opportunity to attend a quality private school by way of a sponsor.

Sponsors are individuals who provide financially and academically disadvantaged students with the opportunity of nonpublic school tuition, while sharing encouragement, guidance and advice during the student's four-year mission to earn their diploma.
